An exceptionally warm April night in Prescott

On Sunday, April 17, 2011 a full moon was shining down on our little town of Prescott, Arizona and a warm glow was radiating from an old building on Cortez street, home to the Raven Cafe. From out in the street you could feel the warmth coming from the old walls into the cool, spring evening air, and upon cracking open the front door an uproar of beautiful music and laughter burst out onto the sidewalk. Inside, people from all over our community as well as family and friends who traveled from afar were there to celebrate in honor of our dear friend, Ganai Silver Wolfe. She has been a prominent figure whom we could always count on seeing around town, offering a friendly smile and a show of support for her community. She is living with cancer now, and it was time for us all to return some of the kindness she has taught us. It was a powerful night, indeed.

We love you, Ganai.

PyroKlectic – playing with fire

Last Updated on Thursday, 1 July 2010 07:35 Written by Chris Marzonie Wednesday, 30 June 2010 06:37

Another great performance at the Tsunami on the Square is PyroKlectic. This stuff is incredibly fun to photograph. Here are some shots from the recent June 2010 show.

This is Azzah (Cammie Lane) and Dan Seaman battling head-to-head with huge fire batons.

A side note: Cammie has begun teaching belly dancing in Prescott (for very reasonable rates, I might add) so if you’ve been putting it off, and always wanted to learn, contact her! cammie.r.lane at gmail dot com

Thank you, PyroKlectic, for an awesome show!
